Factory Gremlins
Site-specific installations, July 2013
Installations created at Totaldobže art centre in Riga, Latvia, as part of the exhibition Art-Caching, curated by Laura Prikule. The installations look at where the factory gremlins - former Russian household spirits repurposed as factory guards during the Soviet shift from agriculture to industry - lived and worked at the VEF electotechnical factory, one of Latvia's largest factories which supplied radios, cameras, phones and other electrical and electronic goods to the entire Soviet Union.
